1960 Sunbeam Alpine Series 1 For Sale - £23,950

A very rare early Series One Alpine these were only produced from June 1959 to September 1960. Of the 11904 examples built very few survive.
Styled by the Loewy Studios for the Rootes group the early models were powered by a 1494cc unit with twin downdraft carburettors .These were the first british production sports cars to have wind up windows as standard equipment
This example was registered in June 1960 and the first owner kept the car for 39 years, the car was sold from their estate and kept dry stored until 2014.

The indicated mileage of 35,632 is believed to be correct.

The car has been subject to a full bare metal restoration in June 2015 and restored to a very high standard in its original colour of Thistle Grey with contrasting red leather interior .

The car uses its original engine which has been compression tested and thoroughly examined, all original fasteners, washers and clips were retained.

The car is pictured with its original detachable alloy hard top with new headlining and features a new hood.

The car retains its beautifully patinated original red interior.
