A superb and correct pre-launch date early Austin 7 mini mk1 with all original features still fitted including magic wand gear stick, push button floor start, sliding windows and grey fleck original seat covers.
This was the very first Mini to appear in Cornwall and was supplied to Prouts Garage, Launceston to be their demonstrator ready for the launch of this iconic machine scheduled for September 1959.
FAF 425 (being the original Cornish registration number) was delivered to it's first owner on 8/9/1959 and was cherished by him for over 40 years.
The Mini has been subject to a full restoration by a marque specialist using the original shell (with correct pre-production inner and outer sills), engine, window glass, seats covers, door cards, headling, steering wheel, controls etc. Everything is present and as expected for a pre production car, including such detail as the captive nut rear subframe mountings and wing mounted bonnet stay. There is a huge file of supporting photos and paperwork detailing the restoration works.

Mileage of 47,000 is believed to be genuine.
