A late 1934 car sporting the slightly larger 3.25 litre engine.

This car has undergone one of the most meticulous restorations I have seen on one of these with far in excess of £100,000 spent. The level of detail is incredible. The restorers at the owner's behest went as far as casing & machining new internal gears for the gear box for example. The car has covered few miles since the work was done and is consequently 'on the button'. It drives with a tight "new" feel. All new ash framing was used for the open T2 touring body which is currently fitted.

It is finished in Aubergine Purple over Black which whilst being subtle, exudes a wonderfully period feel. Likewise the interior leather is of a similar but lighter colour and is in perfect order. There is a full photographic record of the restoration and also a fat file containing an eye-watering plethora of invoices. The original handbook, well thumbed by oily fingers, comes with the car.

The car's appearance is simply magnificent, rakish in the extreme, and represents quintessential English '30s open motoring. It is fitted with a mohair hood, side screens and a full tonneau cover. The car sits on wire wheels and comes with a spare set of wire wheels. Correct period Marchal Lamps and spots adorn the front of the car. A tool kit unlatches in its case from the passenger footwell. The car is fitted with a high ratio rear axle for relaxed cruising.

This is a car that is ready to be driven anywhere and wants for nothing. You really need to see it to appreciate the level of detail put into the restoration. It is located on the Somerset Levels and may be viewed there by appointment.
