Stored since 1968 and just 19,000 miles. Works just completed; entire engine overhaul and reconditioned pre-selector gearbox. Paperwork includes original Daimler guarantee certificate, 1960's servicing receipts, a beautiful and untouched owner's handbook along with a starting handle and complete, unused toolkit in it's original leather tool roll.
Upon first inspection this magnificent motor car would appear to be in 100% original condition, the dashboard has a fantastic array of correct art deco instruments all in working order. The leather seats are most comfortable and the headlining shows a patina of 56 years.
The rear compartment interior lamps have been removed and cleaned and, hey presto, when switched on again a lovely soft glow appears. The carpets are in original condition, showing light wear only. The pre selector gear box, having just been totally reconditioned, is an interesting feature on this car and allows easy hands free gear changes.
Freshly Mot'd and serviced, recent recommissioning includes brake overhaul with new wheel cylinders and linings, replacement engine mountings and of course a full replacement stainless steel exhaust system. All oils in engine/gearbox/rear axle have been drained and refilled with fresh and correct Castrol Oils. The front bumper only has been replated. Starts up within a second of pushing the starter button without fail every time, this car would suit the discerning collector or museum display vehicle.
