His career ranged from 1958 to the mid-Seventies, and the three lots here come from,the latter stages of his track-life. U'nable to find a drive for the 1974 season, Hill started his own team. After using a Lola chassis, he built his own car for,1975.
The Hill GH1 wasn't a success so, after falling to qualify for the Monaco Grand Prix, announced his retirement. This Embassy- on!!ored race suit comes from these last tw ears and carries Ford, Firestone and Mot_l raft logos. The first Helmet is the driver's Bell helmet (left) from the 1971 season - showing signs of use, it also has a tinted visor. The second Helmet is his spare Griffin helmet from 1975. Never worn by the driver, it's in as-new condition.
