1930 MG M type Le Mans Car Sold - £POA

Believed to be the earliest works MG in existence this is one of two cars specially built by MG for the 1930 Le Mans race based on the 12/12 M type Midget where it was driven by Sir Francis Samuelson and Hicks .Subsequently entered in the 1930 Spa 24 Hrs as the only British entry where it finished 5th in class.
The Le Mans cars differed from the standard M types with more powerful engines ,long range oil tank and 17 gallon fuel tank ,an unswept scuttle and an externally mounted spare wheel .
Later in the 1930s it was fitted with hydraulic brakes and a J2 four speed gearbox .
Ideal car for historic Le Mans or Angouleme type events and offered with huge history file with all photos and history including magazine articles from the 1970s.
Starts on the button and drives strongly with good brakes
