This left-hand drive Triumph TR3A was purchased new from a main dealer in Denver, Colorado on 13th May 1960 by an esteemed American scientist, as a gift for his wife. The car remained registered to him (so as not to spoil the surprise) until he passed away on 4th May 2003. The title documents were transferred to his wife's name on 29th December of the same year.

In the early 1970s, the car was turned from an excellent example to a concours car. It was carefully stripped to the bare body-shell and reassembled after every original item had been cleaned and detailed; it was then refinished in correct Triumph colour of Wedgewood blue.

The car has been kept to that condition for the last 40 years, requiring nothing more than regular servicing. The car has only covered 21,000 miles since new. The extensive history file includes pictures of the car taken during the 1960s, and others since then, as well as all the required paperwork.The vehicle has full UK registration documents and a period plate .
