1974 Volkswagen Beetle 1300 Convertible Sold - £POA

This lovely 1974 Volkswagen Beetle 1300 Cabrio was originally bought in Osnabruck, Germany in 1974, and was imported into the UK in October 1985 by it's current owner of 28 years.

It went through a full restoration in 2001 to the value of £8000, which included the following:

-Full bodywork restore, interior and exterior, all blasted back to bare metal and prepared and primed
-Four new wings and new door skins
-Full respray in ice blue colour to match the original
-Wheels restored and repainted with new hubcaps
-New convertible hood with new roof lining and insulation
-New rear window glass and window frame (please note rest of hood frame is original)
-front seats re upholstered and recovered to match originals
-Replacement of all corroded chassis members/sub frame and sealed
-Replacement of all brake pipes, discs and pads
-Replacement of all Shock absorbers and strengthening of their mountings.

All of which were approves German components and body parts, and not the poorer quality Brazilian and Mexican equivalents.

Since 1990 it has been garaged overnight and since 2003 has only been used during the summer months.
